I want to take a picture of the Lenny Zakim Bridge and I need some suggestions. Where can I take a picture of it from and where do I park while I am taking the picture?

Well you probably know that it goes from the North End to Charlestown. Parking in the North End is darn near impossible although they do have some pay-lots nearby. Charlestown is more residential and honestly I'm not sure about the parking there.

The Zakim Bridge doesn't rise exremely high so I'd take a pic from the water near the skating rink at the North End or from the Charlestown area near the Navy yard.

I'm sorry that wasn't a huge help but I saw you had no responses...maybe more ppl who know more about the area will see this thread now that it is bumped. Good luck

I think you want to park in the big garage at North Station. Try to NOT do this when the Celtics or Bruins are playing or some other event is going on at the Garden, because then the parking will be difficult and cost you more. I think you can get a nice view of it from behind the garden, although I'm not sure if you can get enough elevation from that side.

I'm wondering if you can get a good view of it from Bunker Hill, does anybody know?

This photo ( www.pbase.com/annforcier/image/88084588 ) was taken from behind the Garden - I just walked a ways past the entrance to North Station. There is a parking garage there. Are you going to be driving by yourself? If not could the person you are with just drive around the block a few times while you took the photo? Aren't you doing anything else in Boston - are you going there just to take a shot of the bridge?

This shot ( www.pbase.com/annforcier/image/88084847 ) was taken from the ferry that goes from Long Wharf to Charlestown Navy Yard. There are also pretty good views of it when walking across the old bridge next to it (from Charlestown to the North Eng).
