Boston to Marthas Vineyard/Nantucket

I am planning a trip mid-June with my spouse and 14-year-old. We plan to fly into Boston, then spend a few nights on either Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket or Cape Cod.

How many nights should we spend in Boston? We plan on some tourist things Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Revolutionary War tour, day, shopping, eating etc.

Looking to spend some time relaxing but not sure which island is best. We want to go to the beach, or have a hotel with a pool, eat, shop and walk around.

Spend at least three to four days in Boston. Chose either Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket for several days. Martha’s Vineyard is a much shorter ferry ride. Both islands are beautiful with lots to see and do.

Provincetown, MA, is the very tip of the Cape (Cod) and is easily reached by ferry from Boston. There’s plenty to do in terms of shopping, restaurants, beaches and art. Rent bikes and have fun.

If Provincetown, don't miss the public library:
