Boston Park Plaza Hotel

Any thoughts on this hotel for a weekend in March? I am looking for something walking distance to Newbury Street and other shops and restaurants.

It's in a great location for what you're looking to do. It's a nice hotel, it's older so the rooms may not be as updated as some of the newer hotels.

The hotel has a number of restaurants in its immediate vicinity - Legal Seafood, Bonfire, Maggiano's Little Italy, Davios and Flemings to name a few. Very close to the Lasser District with its group of clubs and restaurants, the theater district and the Back Bay and Newbury St.

we stayed at the Westin. It was walking distance, actually around the corner from NewBerry Street. A very nice hotel. The restaurant Turners Fisheries in the hotel is FABULOUS!!!--we went 2 times

Ladder, Lasser - you say tomato, I say tomato.

Actually - yes I meant the Ladder District. My keyboard and fingers are acting together in a conspiracy to make it look like I can't type.

The location is faborable. If you get a rock bottom rate, fine ("refreshing" of rooms is long overdue).

With winter rates in effect all during the month of March, though, you can probably do much, much better.

We had a pleasant one night stay there in December. The lobby is gorgeous and the room was big and clean (it was a 2 queen with 2 bathrooms). We got a great rate of 118 a night through a special travelzoo.com was running at that time.

Very close to public transit and many great restaurants. Nice to walk through public gardens and over to Quincy Market area as well as walking Newbury ST. and to the Prudential Shops.

Have fun!
