Boston Logan Airport Luggage Lockers
Does antone know if Logan Airport has luggage lockers? I would like to check out of my hotel in Quincy early, drop off my luggage at the airport, then take public transport to the city for some sightseeing for the day. TIA.

It depends on where your lodging is in Quincy - you could be a 20 minute ride into downtown by T, and depending on how long you have to spend in Boston site seeing, and how late your flight is, it might end up being your easiest option to have your hotel hold your bag and get into Boston early.
Otherwise, I agree about seeing how early you can check you bags at your airline. Unfortunately, can't think of any public locker areas.

I just spent about 10 minutes researching reality of storing luggage in Boston. As expected, Logan website specifically says no storage lockers "indefinitely". Also checked MBTA website and various links to bus and Amtrak service out of South Station - no mention of any luggage storage facilities, although no mention that there are not any either.
Another thought - if your Quincy hotel is part of a chain, might they be able to make arrangements with a Boston hotel of same chain to store your luggage as either a coutesy or for a fee - less likely, but I am trying to be creative.
Links off website for North Station to Banknorth Garden indicate that on occasion for a generous tip, bartenders nearby may agree to watch your luggage or briefcase during event at Garden (since briefcases, backpacks, etc are not allowed inside)- so I imagine same might hold true for a day trip into Boston - but not something you would be able to count on.
Search revealed no facilities in Boston that might store your luggage.

I sincerely appreciate all of the time and effort you folks have put in to answer my question. Normally I am on the Europe forum and you people are just as helpful as everybody over there.
I am at the Adams Inn Best Western. I checked with the reception and they will hold my bags for the day. I think I'll take the metro to town and get back here in time for their last van ride to the airport.
Again, thanks for all the information and suggestions.

What is your time worth?
Consider paying for a room at the HI/AYH Hostel on Heminway (near Hynes Conv Ctr) and you should be able to stow your bags while you are a "guest". I think the rates are around $30 ... so what if you don't actually sleep there?

Good question rb.
This morning the temperature was in the 20s, the wind was in the 30s, and I am in my 60s. Therefore, I paid 50$ to change my reservation and left at noon. For the past hour I am home and dry in Michigan. Boston will wait for my next chance encounter, or, I might just make it a layover on my next trip to Amsterdam.
