Boston Hotel

I am traveling to Boston in November and I need some recommendations on where to stay. We'd like to stay near the Freedom Trail. Our budget is around $200/night. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I just stayed at the Charlesmark. Can't recommend it highly enough! Breakfast included plus free bottled water in the in-room fridge. Very convenient Back Bay location on Boylston St.

Check some travel sites for your dates--hotels.com, travelzoo, booking.com. $200 a night may be low depending on what conventions are going on in November.

Look at hotels in the waterfront/Faneuil Hall, downtown, and Back Bay areas. Boston is pretty compact and it's easy to get from one area to another by walking or by a short subway ride.

The Omni Parker House and the Nine Zero hotels are right on the Freedom Trail.

We really liked the Loew's Boston but it wasn't $200/night in May. I found Boston hotels to be super expensive even in comparison with other big cities (but I'm aware May is a pricy month there).

I've gotten some good deals at the Millennium, which is right at the Faneuil Hall marketplace, in the off-season. Nice hotel, superb location, on the Freedom Trail, less than 10 minute walk to North End. Regular rates are too high for you (me, too) but I'd think November might be not as desirable because of the weather. Try signing up for their "frequent user" (can't remember what they call it) so you'll get emails about specials. Also check travelzoo.com where I have found hotel specials in Boston from time to time.
