Boston Area Hotel

Hey there... I'm looking for a hotel recommendation for the Boston area. I'll be visiting Milton, and Acton, so somewhere that has easy highway access would be great. Am I best off in the city?? Any memorable hotels outside the city???

Greetings from a former Acton resident, now living in Milton!

Are you more interested in an easy commute to the two towns, or in finding a "memorable hotel"? If the latter, please clarify what that term means.

Staying in the city would be relatively convenient for both places, but would be much more expensive, paying for both hotel and parking. OTOH, if you're commuting during rush hours, commuting OUT of the city, against traffic, would be pleasante than staying at a suburb somewhere between the two towns, which would then entail rush-hour commuting on Route 128.

I guess it would be helpful to know a little more about your itinerary.

Sorry for the vague question. I am trying to get in two visits in a one night stay. I'd like to drive up Boston and visit a friend in Milton then the next morning bring my daughter to visit a friend in Acton while I have a meeting in Cambridge. So I'd like to have easy access to Cambridge and Acton.

If your second day is going to start out with dropping off your daughter in Acton, I'd recommend staying near there, to minimize morning rush hour driving.
