Boca Raton Resort & Club

Any opinions? I am attending a conference there in June and would like to take my husband and daughter with me if it is worth staying a couple of extra days for a mini vacation. I have read quite a few negative reviews about this place, stating that they are overpriced (based on what they claim to be as far as a resort), rude and the rooms are not as clean as they should be. I am willing to stay at another hotel and drive to the conference, if there is another place someone could recommend.

I love this resort! Yes, it is expensive but I thought overall worth the price. The beach club is wonderful and I had no problems with the rooms. We stayed in the tower and had to shuttle over to the beach.

I also loved this resort and had no complaints. We also stayed in the tower and had a great room. Didn't find it dirty and didn't find the staff rude. Don't know if we were lucky or what - we have stayed there several times and never had a complaint.

My husband and I just got back from a long weekend there and loved it. We received an upgrade to the Yacht club and the rooms were fabulous. I can't comment on the cloister (but heard they are tired) or the Tower (i think they are supposed to be quite nice, but no balcony?). The service was perfect and the resort is gorgeous with an incredible (but pricey) spa. I would not reccomend staying at the beach club- a ride away from the rest of the resort and not attractive.

While I've not stayed there (I have family who lives in the area) I've toured the facilities & it's lovely & the nicest place in Boca. Perhaps if people compare it to other resort options in other locations (like the Four Seasons or the Breakers), it may not stack up. But since you've got to be there, I certainly think it's worth a few days. Understand there are 2 separate locations. The main building where the spa, tennis, main dining etc. is, is not on the beach. The beach club also has rooms.
