Boat Charters on Kauai

Anyone have experience with Blue Dolphin Charters? Am thinking about their Niihue trip with snorkeling/diving. Another option is Honololo - same trip. Anyone with experience with either?

We took HoloHolo a few years ago. We went in February with 4 adults & 2 kids. We had a great time. We took the morning trip which left from Port Allen at 6:30-7. Had rolls and fruit as we headed out of port. Cruised to the NaPali coast which was awesome. The crew was very informative.

From the NaPali we headed to an island off of Niihau to snorkel. I chickened out but the hubby and kids loved it. After that we had lunch on the boat which consisted of sandwiches and some pasta salads. We then headed back to Port Allen while they served beverages.

I would definately do it again. I would also highly recommend a non-drowsy dramamine or something similar.
All of us took something. Even though the crew said we had an exceptionally calm day I think I would have had a hard time without it.

Thanks for the info. We are big boaters used to the seas so I'm really not worried about seasickness. Think we'll try it.

Most sail boats use their motors with one sail up so it gives the appearance of sailing but you are really motoring around. We looked for a company that actually sailed. Just thought you might want to know in case you were counting on sailing.

Thanks Suzie - actual sailing isn't really the draw - it's the snorkeling or diving off Niihue which, supposedly, has remarkable marine life and visibility.
