Blue Moon or Ocean Front Hotel

My Fiancee and I are in Miami at the end of our honeymoon for a couple of nights. I am trying to choose between the Blue Moon Hotel or the Ocean Front Hotel. If anyone has experience or comments on either of these, that would be great.

I've stayed at the Blue Moon a couple of times, the location is off the beach, although walkable. The rooms are real bright - quite cute. I'm not familiar w/ the Ocean Front, where is it at?

Ocean Front is on the 1200 block of Ocean Dr. From the website it looks outstanding.

I lived in South Beach and still go frequently. The Blue Moon is nice but not upscale. Go value for the money and still close to everything even though its not on the beach.

I as well am not familiar with the Ocean Front Hotel. I'm thinking it may be the hotel above one of the newer restaurants that I saw there in June of this year. Keep in mind, in the art deco district most rooms at any of the hotels will be small. There are a few boutique hotels on South Beach that are quite comfortable. I like the Savoy. Take a look at www.sobe.com or www.southbeach.com. I found there ratings to be truer of what you will find when you get there. I also find calling the hotel to be the best way to get the cheaper rates.

I think it used to be called Hotel Ocean, and is right next door to the Tides. Between this and the Blue Moon I would take Hotel Ocean. I've stayed there numerous times. The rooms are European in feeling, there is music in their outdoor cafe in the evening, and sits right on Ocean Drive.

Forgot to mention that if a pool is important to you, there is not a pool at Hotel Ocean.
