Best way to get to Williamsburg from Florida

What is the best way to get to Williamsburg from Florida? Should I take I-95 N to I-295 N to I-64 or would it be better to take R-58 to I-64? I would rather stay on the interstate. What kind of road is R-58
4 lanes or 2 lanes?

Have you considered investing in a good road map or atlas. You can get the Rand McNally - 2006 version at Wal Mart for $4,97.

Do it the easy way, go to freetrip.com, it works like a charm.

US58 isn't saving you any miles, but you need to deal with possible traffic in the Hampton Roads area and the tunnel.

I'd either take I-295 to I-64, or VA40 to VA10 to VA31 to the Jamestown Ferry, which is free and runs every 25-30 minutes. However, I have no idea how busy the ferry is.

The intersection of I295 and I64 is 45 min from Williamsburg. There is rarely traffic. I would do it that way unless you want scenery other than woods.
