Where is Central Market located? Sounds like something I need to check out the next time I'm in Houston.

Also, forgot to mention, Central Market has live music here in Austin (both locations) a couple times a week!

Yes, you're right. The Houston location of Central Market also has live music throughout the week.

Statia -- you MUST come to see it next time you're in town. I promise it will be worth it. (It's at the corner of Westheimer and Wesalyan near Highland Village.)

Second vote for Woodlands in Kentfield (Marin County--just north of SF). Best of EVERYTHING.

Hi Elizabeth. No, Byeerly's in MN didn't go under. I was just there last week and even did some Christmas shopping in their great gift shop. Byerly's and Lund's (another great MN store) are owned by the same people now so maybe that's where the going under story started. They are still in full swing.

Madison Wi has the nicest grocery stores! Copps, Woodmans's, Whole foods, Willy Street Co-op, Magic Mill and of course the fabulous farmer's market!! I now live in the Dallas area and miss the farmers market terribly. Would agree with the postings listing HEB Central Market. What a store!!
