Best Time to Visit Sonoma

Supposing you could do a week in the Sonoma area anytime between Feb and June, that you were interested in some casual outdoor activities (biking, hiking) and don't want to visit during an especially busy time. When would you go? TIA.

Well of those months, I would go in April or May but so would a lot of other people. Winter isn't as pretty but it's a lot more quite. If that's what you want, go in mid-March, that would be your best bet.

Hi Brian, if you want to avoid the chance of rain I would go later also. And gardengypsy is correct, you will have more people visiting then but it will be before the summer vacation starts. And Sonoma area to me always seems less busy then the Napa Valley. Have fun planning your visit!!

After visiting Sonoma in late April-early May this year, I would say it is a delightful time of the year to go.Not too crowded, Inn at Sonoma(a Four Sisters Inn) a great choice of placeto stay, weather perfect (a sweater in the early morning and late evening, The Outdoor Market on the Square begun- a great time.
