Best Time to Buy Transatlantic Plane Tickets
Flying mid-October from JFK to Madrid - is there a best day or month or specific timing in finding the best ticket prices for overseas flights on major airlines, esp. Lufthansa, KLM, British Air, Iberia

There is no best time; buy when you can afford it and then don't look back. Use ITA's 30-day search function if you have some flexibility. http://matrix.itasoftware.com/

It used to be Tuesday night into Wednesday but with the sophistication of computers, it depends on current sales, trends, etc. There is no right time/

If there actually were a best time why would anybody buy tickets at any other time?????
