BEST SPA/RESORTS IN COLORADO

Looking to stay 3 to 4 days in a nice spa hotel in Colorado - any recommendations. Thank you. Linda (Also have a Pug - that goes everywhere with us.)

The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Avon is very nice and is supposed to have a beautiful spa (I have not personally had a treatment there). In the summer they have wonderful hiking right out the back door, tennis, biking, outdoor pool, etc. Beaver Creek is close with shops and restaurants. They are very dog friendly as well. It is a beautiful resort property. Have also stayed at the Westin in Avon and it has a spa as well, although I do not know any details. Great location but I do not know how pet friendly it is.

The Sonnenalp resort hotel in central Vail is very nice. It is also dog-friendly. Their spa is very good, and the customer service in the hotel is excellent. Ask for a room overlooking the pool and the creek. We usually have a one-bedroom suite, which is quite spacious.

Forbes/Mobil travel guide tries to rank the top spas, restaurants and hotels. There is one 5 star spa in Colorado at the Broadmoor (only 13 total in the USA), and four with 4 stars in Colorado (including Bachelor Gulch mentioned above).

Here's the list of the 4 stars, click on the links at the top of that page to find the 5 stars and also the 4 and 5 star restaurants and hotels:

When are you going? This hasn't opened yet, but it's where I'd go in Colorado -

All the above choices are excellent. The Viceroy in Snowmass recently opened its doors and the hotel and spa are stunning.
