Best shopping in SoBe

I'm going to staying in South Beach with friends the weekend following Thanksgiving. While not on the beach or shakin' my groove thing, I'd like to do some shopping. My preference is the trendier men's clothing and designer stuff. Is the shopping scene in South Beach all about Lincoln Road or is there another shopping area farther down near the deco district? Thanks!

Washington Avenue and Collins Avenue from around Fifth Street up to 14th Street has better shopping than Lincoln Road.

There are some shops like Brownes & Co. Apothocary that are do not miss on Lincoln Road Mall as well as some other fantastic little independent shops mixed in with the chains (BCBG Max Azria, Cache, BeBe).

I haven't check in a while but the shops at the Ritz-Carlton are pretty good.

GoTravel (Hi, Go!! ) has described it well. I'll only add that, for men's clothing, the Collins Avenue shops are more mainstream (Banana Republic has a nice store there) and the Washington Avenue shops are a bit edgier (and, around 10th St, they're pretty fabulous!!-- not that they're anything wrong with that).

Here's a somewhat overall guide (not that good)

and one for Collins Avenue

If you really want good shopping in Miami, head up to Bal Harbor for The Shops At Bal Harbor.

Some of the best shopping in the US.

Thanks for the links -- exactly the info I was looking for!

Also, I've never been to Miami that time of year (late November). Weather-wise, what should I expect? Is it beach weather or a bit chilly for that? Coming from Boston, anything will feel warmer, but will it be too cool to swim and lounge about in a bathing suit?

Daytime highs should be around 75 degrees so yes, you should be able to sit by a pool and wear a bathing suit.

Coming from Boston, the shopping there is probably better than in South Beach with the exception of The Shops At Bal Harbour.
