Friday night games are tough. I have a friend who lives in Westwood (just west of BH) and has had season tickets for many years. On Fridays, it takes him an hour to get to the game no matter which route he takes. Going home is a snap.

Maps.google.com recommends either the Santa Monica Fwy. (10) or Santa Monica Blvd., but you'll see there are several east-west streets that parallel SMB. Beverly Blvd., 3rd Street, etc. I would NOT use the freeway to get to a Friday night game but might take it after the game. I would definitely use the stadium entrance just off Sunset Boulevard.

FYI, the Sunset Gate brings you into the parking on the 3rd base side and the one-way circulation road goes clockwise.

I am heading to the same game this Friday night. We are from Australia and currently staying in Beverley Hills. Not really keen on getting a taxi if it takes an hour to get there - any hints on public transport? etc

Go to www.metro.net and plug in your starting address and "Dodger Stadium" for your destination in the Metro Trip Planner box. The planner will likely tell you to take the #4 bus all the way. It's an uphill walk to the stadium from where you'd get off the bus (perhaps 1000 meters from the bus to your seats), and you'll see people heading in that direction by foot. You can board in BH on Santa Monica Boulevard at several points between Wilshire Boulevard and Rexford Drive. I would probably taxi back to BH after the game.

Here's the timetable for the #4 bus. It doesn't show all the stops, but the stops in BH are between the listed "Santa Monica Blvd. & Westwood" and "Santa Monica Blvd. & San Vicente" stops, and Dodger Stadium is shortly after the "Sunset & Echo Park" stop.
