Best Restaurants in Maui and Kauai

My wife and I are spending five days on each island in January and would appreciate some advice on your top picks. Any price range or location is fine by us.

Hi - We were just there a month ago - we LOVED both islands, but Kauai was our favorite.

Our pics were:

Kauai - Tidepool's in Hyatt- beautiful scenery, great food and service

The Beach House - beautiful view - get a table at time of sunset, great food as well

Maui - Roy's in Kaanapali (or right next to) Nice options of Pan Asian meals

Longhi's - in Lahaina, fantastic homemade pasta - what i didn't like was the verbal menu - I need to read my options! LOL

BJ's Chicago Pizza - Lahaina - easy, cheap and great pizza! We went there twice

A Pcific cafe and Beach House and roys on Kauai.....Spagos, Nicks, Mama's, Halliemaile General Store, Hula Grille for light fare on the sand, and Charlies I think for great breakfast at Paia, pool tables in back.

I agree with most of the postings above. We were on both islands in May for our honeymoon. Loved Tidepools and Roy's in Kauai (get the chocolate souffle!) and Nick's Fishmarket in Maui. Have an amazing time...wish I could go back.

Most definitely Gerard's in Lahaina. You can't go wrong.
