Best Cape Cod cottages?

I've heard that there is a really nice camp-type cottage resort that gets voted best on the Cape by Cape Cod Life every year. Anyone know the name?

Sistahlou, the beach cottage on that site looks just gorgeous! So romantic. I'd love to stay there, but we need a larger place that sleeps 6.

I just checked out Dennis Seashore Cottages. They look nice, but the site does not assign a rate to each cottage. It is confusing, I'll have to call them, I guess.

Agree that Dennis Shores site is a little confusing, but you can get rates for each cottage. Click on "Map" and that will tell you location of each cottage. Click on "Rates" and if you scroll down a little it gives you A,B,C,D rates with list of which cottages are which price for which time period.

I think I read that the Days cottages in Truro (the ones that are often photgraphed and painted) have been recently sold as condos.

I don't believe Day's has gone condo. Others in the area have. I can only hope that Day's , a landmark will stay for ever as is .....and by the way - a great place to stay with a family,,,,,,

Thanks for the article....for a minute there I thought it was just a dream! I think we can expect that more small cottage colonies and motels will convert to condos. High nsuranace costs (if they can get it at all), taxes and difficulty finding help are major problems for the lodging industry. As the value of and demand for vacation/retirement property increases it makes financial sense to convert motels/cottages to condos and cash out. How will this affect the visitor? Fewer low-end accommodations for families, higher prices and occupancy for existing inns, hotels and B+B's and a more year 'round feeling to the Cape. What do you think?

I know what you're talking about but I can't think of the name! They're on the ocean side, I think in Wellfleet, maybe Eastham, some of them are 60's style and they're always booked up well in advance, usually a year. I've never been able to get a reservation there.

This is going to drive me crazy but they have the BEST location on the whole cape...If I can think of the name I'll post it.

Actually, those are the ones! Voted best on the cape, it's right on the front page.

That's another place I could never get reservations.

I hope this is not a dumb question but do any of these places offer air conditioning? I would love to rent them but my daughter and I have asthma and we really need a/c. If anyone knows of a place on the beach, I would love to hear about it. Thanks/
