Best Boston South Station exit for pickup by private car
I am arriving by Amtrak to Boston South Station friday night, and must rush to a dinner in Waltham. My sister will be picking me up in her car, but we are a little overwhelmed by the reported number of exits at South Station. Does anyone who knows the station well have a suggestion as to a good exit for her to pick me up at? Thanks!!

Traffic and waiting patterns are quite frantic around South Station, especially on a Friday evening. There's a pick-up waiting area on the side where the buses are -- you can get more useful info about South Station from the MBTA web site than from Amtrak.
Perhaps you should consider meeting at the Route 128 stop instead, you'd be off the train a little sooner and just 20 minutes south of Waltham on Route 128 (AKA Route 95), with plenty of parking and no traffic hassles. Of course, the feasibility of this strategy depends on where your sister is coming from!
