Best beach to surf and light bon fires legally...
Looking to take my family to a nice beach that has
1) Surfing
2) Bon fires (w/out a permit needed)
3) Lots of shells to look at
4) Limited sharks...
Prefer East Coast. Appreciate truly your reply.
Take care and God bless,
Amanda

Uh, limited sharks in Montauk?
That said, the Surfing is good. Don't know about the Bonfires. I know a perfect spot someplace, but I'd be killed for mentioning it by friends - mentioning good surf spots on the web isn't considered a good thing to do. You might ask at your local surf shop.
But you should know that surf in the summer is iffy, on either coast.
