Best beach to surf and light bon fires legally...
 
Looking to take my family to a nice beach that has <BR>1) Surfing<BR>2) Bon fires (w/out a permit needed)<BR>3) Lots of shells to look at<BR>4) Limited sharks...<BR><BR>Prefer East Coast. Appreciate truly your reply.<BR><BR>Take care and God bless,<BR>Amanda<BR>

Hatteras Island, although you may need a permit for your bonfires "in season" <BR><BR>Supposed to have the best surfing on the east coast.

Uh, limited sharks in Montauk?<BR><BR>That said, the Surfing is good. Don't know about the Bonfires. I know a perfect spot someplace, but I'd be killed for mentioning it by friends - mentioning good surf spots on the web isn't considered a good thing to do. You might ask at your local surf shop.<BR><BR>But you should know that surf in the summer is iffy, on either coast.
