Bellagio or Wynn for fireworks

Ok, I have it narrowed down to either the Bellagio or the Wynn for viewing fireworks on New Year's Eve from the room. They have both guaranteed a strip-view room. (The Bellagio calls it Lake View).

Which do you think will have the better views?

Thanks!

I don't know if you would be able to see the fireworks from inside your room anyway, or least have a good view of them. I could be wrong, maybe someone has been inside and was able to see fine, but I would think you would have to be right on top of the glass and looking up.
It is fun to be outside on the Strip anyway, even if not partying, just watching all the crazies, and it really is spectacular to see all the fireworks going together, imo.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply, vegasnative, and we may end up doing just what you suggest. However, we've reached an age where we're just not much into partying, but do want to see the spectacle, if that makes any sense.

Any ideas about which of referenced hotels would have the better view?

I agree with the above poster. I can't imagine you would really be able to see from inside the hotel. We always stay at the Venetian, far superior to both the Wynn and the Bellagio IMO. The fireworks are only going to last less than about a half hour, and standing or finding a comfy spot to sit and watch just outside your hotel is the better bet. Keep in mind a strip view can mean many things and not a guarantee you will be able to see the fireworks. That said, I'd pick the hotel based on your other interests, and the location for the Fireworks. The Bellagio, I really dislike the Wynn, does have some benches around the lake and more open space to stand and watch. Have fun.

I have stayed at the Bellagio and had a lake view (strip view) room, and you can definately see the fireworks. No problems whatsoever. I cannot speak about the Wynn.
