Anniversary- Bellagio or Venetian?

20th anniversary. My wife wants to be on the Strip. 3 days/2 nights in mid-May. Anecdotes about Bellagio or Venetian? Any other hotel recommendations?

I've stayed at Bellagio but not the Venetian. Bellagio is very elegant and I think if you book a lakeview room the view would be more romantic than the Venetian. Check to see if either hotel has specials. We found a special on the penthouse suite years back that included a limo transfer from the airport. The room was to die for!
Besides, Bellagio is right in the "center" of the strip.

I've only stayed at Venetian but feel you would be hard pressed to go wrong either way. My suggestion, stay at the Venetian and do a dinner/visit the top of the Eifel Tower at Paris Hotel at night to view the fountains. Fountains are nice but.......

We stayed at the Bellagio in a "corner deluxe" room.

We had windows facing the fountains and windows looking up the strip...even a picture window over the tub.

New is so key to staying in Vegas..
I love staying at the Wynn..elegant with tons of fab restaurants, shopping and the pool is wonderful!
Bellagio is another beautiful property as well..
Venetian is a great location and the rooms are large but in such dire need of being updated..
Have a wonderful 20th anniversary!

The Wynn is the finest hotel on the Strip, without a doubt.

Go for the Bellagio. Get a suite overlooking the fountains. You can't go wrong.

We stayed at the Bellagio for our anniversary and it is so gorgeous. Location is great and you can also get on the tram there. But you must get a room with a view of the fountains (make sure it is on an upper floor). Our huge picture window overlooked the fountains and at night we would sit and watch the fountain display with the Eifel Tower lighted up in the background. The neat thing is you can turn your stereo to the channel that plays the music for the fountain display. It is wonderful!

We stayed at the Venetian and had a wonderful room looking over the strip, could watch the pirate show at Treasure Island from our window. The Venetian is a great place for a romantic vacation.
