Bellagio or the New Venezia Tower

I am having a difficult time deciding between the Bellagio and the new Venezia tower at the Venetian. I will be traveling in July with my husband. My sister and my niece will be joining us but staying in their own room. The adults are in their late forties. My niece is a mature 17 year old. In additon to a hotel recommendation, does anyone have suggestions for shows that all four of us would enjoy?

They are both beautiful hotels. Would you be staying in a suite at the Bellagio too? Is there a price difference? The only thing that would make me hesitate to stay at the Venetian is that it's all the way on one side of the strip. The Bellagio is more centrally located and may be closer to the other casinos or sights that you want to visit. The Bellagio is right across the street from the Paris and the Aladdin. It wouldn't normally be that big of a deal, but July will be incredibly hot. Walking too far down the strip in that weather may be uncomfortable. The last time I went in the summer, even driving in the car was uncomfortable because the car got so hot and the A/C failed to cool it off substantially.

Rooms at Venezia are virtually identical to the standard Venetian rooms (which are rectangular rooms with a small step down living space...what most hotels would define as a junior suite) except there are plasma screen TV's. Separate check-in and pool also. But the only real advantage of Venzia IMO is that the rooms are still new, so you know they're in good shape. That's important to me because rooms in LV get worn out very quickly, esp compared with buisness hotels in other cities.

Bellagio's most impressive rooms are the suites, and they're quite a bit better than the standard rooms IMO, while larger rooms at Venetian are similar quality, just more space.

If I had to choose between a standard Venezia room and a standard Bellagio room (and the ONLY consideration was room quality) I'd probably choose V.
But Bellagio is a much classier and nicer hotel, much better pools, significantly better restaurants, better location. Overall it's simply a much better experience.

If you stay at Bellagio, I'd recommend "O" as your show. Unlike anything you'll ever see anywhere else.
Ticket prices were just raised unfortunately as it still sells out every show.

Just stayed at the Bellagio last week for the second time. Our room had just been re-decorated and was very elegant. We looked over the fountains (a $25 per night upgrade from a low price I got on Orbitz) Stayed last year at Venetian and it was nice, but the Bellagio is lovely. O is a must see!
