I haven't been YET, so take this with a grain of salt. But I was planning on staying half the week on the strip (either Bellagio or Venetian) and the second half the week about a half hour away at the Hyatt Regency "Lake" Las Vegas Resort & Spa. That is where the movie "America's Sweethearts" was filmed, and it looks lovely. Also, I assume it's a bit less "Vegasy" and closer to some other adventures, like a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, a balloon ride, Black Canyon, or Hoover Dam. Good Luck, and Congratulations on your anniversary!!!

The bathrooms at Mandalay Bay are really great. I was put up there for a computer conference. One giant room with two double beds and only me to enjoy it.
Seriously, there's nothing like a marble bathroom with a large tub and separate shower (why don't hotels realize the importance of this?)
Just be sure to get a room with a view of the strip.

I agree that the Bellagio is nice but I found that the Venetian suites are more spacious. All room categories at the Venetian are suites.
I took my boyfriend there for his birthday last year and we loved it. We fell in love the marble bathrooms and the layout of the room. It was a huge suite for the price of a room.
