Beaufort lunch place needed - for tomorrow
I would like to stop in Beaufort on our way from Charleston to Savannah tomorrow and need a recommendation for lunch or brunch. Plum's is booked. Opentable isn't helpful.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Anyone been here :

Always tried to make it : never have, Dataw is off the beaten track. Is it worth the trip?

Just a quick post....I did call Plums and they don't take reservations for lunch, only for dinner. That is one of the flaws in Open Table - listing no tables available without mentioning the above. We got there at about one and got one of the few outdoor tables in the back overlooking the park and the water - like being on someone's porch - just perfect! I will post a food TR for Charleston and Savannah, but let me say, this is the kind of place I dream about summertime - fresh shellfish (shrimp and oysters) perfectly fried. We shared a salad and fried Georgia shrimp - delicious!
Deb - so glad we followed your suggestion!
cmcfong - I think Saltus and Wren's are dinner only places. Yes?
