Bar Harbor Hotels, Nice but Inexpensive?

I noticed there's no chain hotels in Bar Harbor. What would you recommend for my sister and I, who are on a budget? We'd like an inexpensive place to stay, but not a dump. Any recommendations?

There are a number of "mom & pop", type motels along Rt. 3 outside of Bar Harbor. A few of them are listed here:

We stayed at Wonder View and absolutely loved it. It's a nice location and just a short walk to town...

We like the Bar Harbor Motel. So clean (but older), you could eat off the floor.

On the main road, across from the ferry.

You'll have to check the price now.
