Bar Harbor honeymoon hotel help
Hi everyone. You've been very helpful so far. We're planning on flying into Portland (from Baltimore) on August 22 and spending two nights there and then driving to Bar Harbor where we'll spend 4 nights. We want to stay in walking distance of the town and close to Acadia. We dont' want a B&B but we also don't want to spend more than $300 a night. Any suggestions? I know I need to book our room right away so hopefully you all will have some suggestions. Thanks!

We're going to Bar Harbor for our Anniversary in June. I know you mentioned you did not want a B&B, but I thought I would share a package that we got thru this B&B:

We wanted to book their 4-night package in the Wingwood Room which has a 2-person jacuzzi ($606).
When I called and talked with the owner, she told me that that room was booked for the time period we wanted, but she offered for the same price a suite in their other B&B, the Mira Monte Inn. She booked us in the South Suite (with private entrance) for the same price as the single room in the Atlantean. The owner said they are trying to be more honeymoon/anniversary oriented. If you look at the picture of the MiraMonte, the South Suite is on the left side of the house with the two bay windows sticking out.
