Bar Harbor B & B questions

We will be going to Bar Harbor in late August for two or three nights and I'm looking for B & B suggestions. The three I'm considering are the Inn at Bay Ledge as it looks as it has a fantastic setting. The two others are Manor House or Ulikana. They both look nice and might be a better choice as they are right in town. Any experience with any of these or suggestions? All help appreciated. Thanks.

We stayed at the Hearthside Inn in Bar Habor in September 2000 and found it very enjoyable. It's right in town, and you can walk everywhere in town. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was delicious and the owners are friendly. We have in fact planned a return trip to Bar Harbor and the Hearthside Inn for this September.

I don't have any experience with the inns listed, but I would absolutely recommend The Maples Inn (www.maplesinn.com) in Bar Harbor. It's on a quiet side street in town, and although not as large as some of the other inns in the area, their attention to detail is excellent as are their breakfasts!

I checked out the Maples and it looked very nice but unfortunately they were booked the days we are going to be there. So decided to stay at the Ullikana, it looks quite nice and I like the in town location.

We're going to Bar Harbor for our honeymoon in late August and we're staying at the Mira MOnte. Someone here recommended it.

littlemo, that might have been me. We are staying in the South Suite at the Miramonte in a couple of weeks from now for our anniversary. The owner gave me what I believe was a great deal. We wanted a package in their Sister B&B, the Atlantean Inn, but the dates weren't available so she put us in a suite in the Miramonte for those dates.

She said she was trying to cater to honeymooners and anniversaries.

We're going 18-22 June, and I'll try to remember to post my experiences. My wife doesn't know we are going here. It's a surprise.
