Bandon Lodging

Heading to Bandon soon and plan on staying at the Inn at Face Rock. Any comments or suggestions?

Connie: I do not know anything about Face Rock Inn but we stayed at the Lighthouse Inn,[I think that was the name of it] and found it to be very pleasant. The innkeeper was very helpful and she made the stay enjoyable. Good restaurant right there on the water too.

YES... this is in Oregon! Guess you aren't too familiar with the coast. That's okay because it is gorgeous!

Since this forum is for posts relating to areas all over the United States, it's usually helpful to us east coasters if you put the state in the title line!

Connie, guess I am familiar with the coast of Oregon since I did ask if it was Oregon. Like there's no other Bandon in all of the US?

Suggestions for what, Connie? The best reason I know to go to Bandon (OR) is to play golf; they've got two courses that many rate along with the best in the country.

Ok...Ok... I'm sorry that I got everyone up tight about this post. Yes, I do mean Bandon, Oregon. That's why it's under the "Oregon" listings. Anyway, what golf courses should we be checking out? What are the prices? Maybe we should throw in our clubs?

Connie, there is no way to post a message "under the Oregon listings." You're not reading this in an Oregon forum; the forum covers the whole US. Hence the questions.

Anyway, do pack your clubs. Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes are the names of the courses. Both are great courses with holes offering spectacular ocean views.

Greens fees for non-Oregon residents are $150 - $200, but you won't regret paying it.

This is one of my favorite towns on the Oregon coast. Inn at Face Rock is very nice with great views of the ocean--great beach for walking.
. Cafe that has great home cooked food, especially thebreakfast..believe it is called the Railroad Cafe. Across the street is a small cheese factory-has really good selections.
We have never played golf in Bandon but I believe one of the courses is just a little south of where you are staying.
We really enjoy Bandon and stayed there many times.
Other info--takes about 4 hrs to drive to Eureka..
Take sweaters--can be cool and windy !!!
