That would work, but is much longer to the ball park. We walked back to the hotel, and if the game runs late, wouldn't you need to use the water taxi? I know they only run late on the weekends and then only to 11pm on Friday when we were there.

Your days combinations' plans for locations are good the way they are. I wish we would have time to do the zoo. It was too far the opposite direction for either of our game days.

That is the last item I need to look at. It is a night game on Saturday night. May either just drive to the game or just plan on a regular taxi after the game to go back to the hotel.

Got it for $219 which is much better than the $300 at the Residence Inn (haven't cancelled yet) so depending on logistics may prove to be worth the extra $.

The last water taxi is at 11 pm according to their published schedule for May.

The Admiral Fell Inn is an historic hotel with lots of character. People seem to like it. Parking will not be easy but Fell's Point can be very enjoyable. Try John Steven Restaurant near the hotel. Also, don't forget a dessert at Vacarro's in Little Italy.

I think we are going with it as I am getting sick of chains due to my travel schedule with work and all my trips this summer.

Here is my revised Itinerary

Friday
Fort McHenry (assuming I get there at 10 - be it by driving or taxi)
Maritime Museum
USS Constellation
Bertha's for Dinner
Wharf Rat after dinner to watch the Sox game???

Saturday
Maryland Zoo
Top of the World Lookout (may include with the Maritime Museum instead)
Babe Ruth Museum (if time allows)
Sox game at 7:05

Sunday
Baltimore Aquarium (already have 9am entry tickets)
Sox game at 1:05
Drive back to Hartford

Now that I am looking at staying in Fell's Point, wouldn't I be better off swapping my Friday and Saturday plans, therefore driving straight to the zoo. When leaving the zoo, drop the car at the hotel for the rest of the weekend.

Random question: Can you buy beer in Maryland on Sundays to bring home? What hours? I'm hoping to buy Yueng Ling someplace to bring it back with me.

Random question reply - beer is sold on Sundays in MD. The Maryland Zoo is nice but I wouldn't consider it world class. Last I was there a month ago, there was a fair amount of construction going on and not all exhibits were available.

While you are visiting the USS Constellation take a tour of the nearby submarine too.

In visiting Camden yards, take advantage of the food stands just outside the park. Some are quite good and the prices are less than inside the ballpark. The Big Dog stand is a favorite of many. IMO those big soft pretzels are a rip-off -it looks like you are getting the whole thing but price given is only for a half, however you can haggle with the seller.

You can bring food and drink into the ballpark as long as it does not contain alcohol, there are no glass containers and you are not carrying a hard sided cooler.

The smoking ban is indeed in effect. Not sure where you saw smoking JJ5 (since you saw alot when you were here). It is amusing to drive by the real locals bars and seeing the regulars standing outside in the cold and rain smoking.

They were smoking inside Cross St. Market and other places when we were there.

The last day it was so warm that everyone was eating outside, and they were smoking in HarborPlace all over.

The good thing is that we will be driving at odd times and have broken the drive up (on the way down). Leaving Hartford at noon on Thursday and driving to Southern NJ. It won't be until late Sunday that we leave so we should be behind the traffic.

Second vote for Faidley's crab cakes from Lexington Market. I'm getting ready to call and have them overnighted to my mom in St. Louis for Mother's Day.

Also, the Water Taxi runs until 1 hour after the O's games ends on game nights. My husband and I live in Fells/Canton and we always walk to Fells Point and take the Water Taxi to the games.

Can you park in the lots for Lexington Market all day while visiting the Harbor and the Orioles game? I'm thinking that we should park there on Sunday morning, go to the Aquarium, game, come back to Faidley's for dinner before hitting the road

How long is the Dolphin show at the Aquarium? Have tickets to the 11:30 show? Is the Dolphin show any good? Will be leaving there to go to the Orioles game before heading back to CT.

tchoiniere - I'm pretty sure that Faidley's is closed on Sunday and that they close at 5 Mon-Sat.

If I remember correctly the dolphin show was about 1/2 hour. It was good but IMO no better or worse than most others - the usual leaps and twists. The aquarium though is most worthwhile.

Good catch on Faidleys. Hadn't bothered to look at hours. May try to slide them in on Saturday during the day.

Thanks to everyone who has posted. We're Sox fans heading to Baltimore this weekend and we'll make use of as many recommendations as possible.

Have a great trip, this is my favorite time of year in Baltimore with azaleas and rhododendrons blooming.

Bookmarking, as I just scored a free hotel (Days Inn Inner Harbor) for next month so the girlfriend and I will be driving up Friday night from D.C. to spend the day downtown and catch a game at Camden Yards that evening!

Thanks for all the great advice. Had a great time in Baltimore this weekend and saw 2 Sox wins!!! Including Manny's 500th! Will post a full trip report in the next couple of days. And it only took me 5 hrs to drive home from there to Hartford.
