Baltimore Inner Harbor meeting place
I need a meeting place, convenient and comfortable at the Inner Harbor area. I will be arriving much later than the rest of the family group.( 2 senoirs, one teen)
They will be taking the light rail from BWI after checking into their hotel.
They will have all day rail/bus passes.
Which is the most convenient light rail stop for inner harbor?
Do you suggest anyplace other than the waterfront marriot for a convenient, comfortable meeting place?
I should be able to pinpoint my arrival time within 30 minutes, so, they will be checking out the harbor (or whereever you suggest) before that.
I had thought of Lexington market, but was advised by a friend that it would not be best place.
any suggestions? thanks.

Lexington Market is several blocks from the Inner Harbor and in somewhat of a marginal area (although I have no problem going there in the daytime--gotta get those crabcakes!).
I'd probably get off the light rail at the Convention Center stop and walk down Pratt Street from there to Harborplace at the corner of Light and Pratt. They can wander around Harborplace, the Constellation is there, the Maryland Science Center, or if they have time (and arrange ahead of time), the Aquarium or, further on, the Baltimore Maritime Museum.
As for a meeting place, the Marriott Waterfront is on the other end of the Inner Harbor from where you would be entering Inner Harbor Marketplace, several blocks away, past the Aquarium and close to Little Italy. I'm sure it would be a comfortable place to meet, but it may not be conveniently located. The Renaissance Harborplace on Pratt Street may be better:

Or you could meet in Harborplace itself, either at one of the restaurants or in the food court in the Light Street Pavilion:

You could also meet at The Gallery at Harborplace, a multi-level mall right across Pratt Street from the Pratt Street Pavilion of Harborplace. Or there is a Panera along Pratt Street.

DancingBearMD gave you very good advice.
Another meeting place right in the Inner Harbor and air conditioned is the new Baltimore Visitor Center.

Also - it's close to where you pick up the Duck boats - really cheesy, but a lot of fun!

thank you very much. just the info i was looking for.
about how many blocks is it from c.center to renaissance harbourplace?
i was thinking "hotel" for the restaurant/coffee shop AND most likely comfortable sofas. i have taken note of the Renaissance H. on Pratt Street. thank you very much!
otherwise, i like the idea of the visitors´ center but i think they should be near food with the possibility of sitting on something comfy.
re
ucks.. we are doing that in DC two days later.. so.. otherwise it would have been good idea!
thanks again!
