Bachelorette Party In N.Y.

I am trying to organise a bachelorette weekend away in N.Y.
There would be about 6-10 of us looking for some good fun bars, a good place to eat and something really fun to do during the day.
We'r really not into clubs, we like the bar sceen and can really drink.
1 -Where is the best place to go?
2 -Any recommendations for a place to stay that is reasonible. (The wedding is out of the country this year so we need to watch the money.
We would like cheap but we don't want a dirty place to stay so if it ain't clean and cheap we will pay more.
Thanks to anyone who can help me.
A desperate Maid of Honor with 9 girls relying on her.

B2B, the place to be is Cafe Wha? in the Village, which is known as "bachelorette party central". As a local, I'm supposed to be too cool (ok maybe not) to like this place but the two times I was there, I had a blast. It's kind of like when my Chinese literature professor admitted that he can't help reading the Enquirer.

Anyway, it's a tight squeeze, an old place and crowded- but they have a live band that plays a good cross section or rock, reggae and dance that will get everybody moving. My wife also planned a bachelorette party there for some out of towners and it was a smashing success. Make reservations.

From there you can find many great bars and restaurants for before and after. My recommendation for a bar would be Madame X which is really more of a swanky lounge with an original decor, good coctails and hip music.

Cafe Wha? -- 115 MacDougal St (between Bleeker & W.3rd)

Madame X -- 94 West Houston between LaGuardia Pl and Thompson St.
You will find plenty of good bars and restaurants

Just a little confused, B2B.....Are you the bride or the maid of honor. And Hawaii was admitted as a state back in the 50's.

Hey Beachbum these adds are posted for serious reply's.

If you really want to know I am a b2b but the party is for another bride, I'm not that bad to have to arrange my own party and I sure am not stupid about the states, I didn't change where I was at when I posted the message - Happy Now! Geography geeks are on another site!!!

Now don't answer in these chat rooms unless you have a informative answer to give.

I would suggest starting the night off at a great loungey restaurant that is also a hot nightspot. In order to do this, make reservations at least a few months in advance.

Some places we love to eat and just to hang out are:
Butter (reserve downstairs table)
Pangea
Lotus
Tao
Park
