BABYSITTING SERVICES

We are going to NY in March and are staying in Times Square. We have a 4 yr old and would like to go to a show. Has anyone used a babysitting agency? If not do you know any shows that we could bring her to (that we might enjoy)?

The only show I know for sure would be one at the New Victory theater, but the teens wouldn't be thrilled.

Actually, looking on the website gocitykids.com for 4 yr old activities, Lion King and Beauty and the Beast both appear to allow 4 yr olds. Lion King would be a good choice for the whole family.

Theaters won;t let a 4 year old in - unless it's a show for children. Plus - a full price ticket is a lot to pay when the child probably doesn;t want to sit still and quiet for 3 hours.

I would defiitely work with the hotel on finding a babysitter. Make sure that whatever sitting service they use has bonded all of the sitters.

My kids were 3,6,8 & 10 when we took the family to The Lion King and the 3 yo loved it (well they all did)! She was in awe the whole time.

I also took the older 2 to see Beauty and the Beast when they were 3 & 5 and they had no problems sitting still for the performance. These shows are made to captivate the audience and they do.

I would not hesitate to bring your 4 yo to the show.
