B&B suggestions for Tucson

My family (including 2 children 10 and 13)is taking a trip to Arizona this spring. We're interested in staying at a Tucson area B&B that's located in or near the desert and has a pool and nice accomodations. Any suggestions would be VERY much appreciated!

My husband and I have stayed at Coyote Crossing B&B in Tucson and loved it. It was very simple and not luxurious at all, but clean and nice. Beautiful setting too. I think they were about 10 miles from Tucson. Hope this helps!

I don't know if youre interested in a guest ranch, but the White Stallion Ranch is supposed to be wonderful. Don't know anything about the B&Bs though. Sorry!

There are a couple of ranches there you may want to look at. Also some nice hotels in Tucson central. But no idea about B&Bs. Maybe check with some books about B&Bs?

As I recall from the Tucson list of Bed & Breakfasts (they have a tour of them every year), there are about 8-10 in town. The one that immediately comes to mind is the Adobe Rose, situated right near the University of Arizona. As far as I know (my mother stayed in one, although I don't recall its name), the B&B's in Tucson are mostly in town (which is still only a 15 minute drive to real desert), and less expensive than the hotels in town.

The other suggestion from above is good if you really want to be on the outskirts of town to feel like you are living in the desert...check out the local guest ranches, like Sunstone Guest Ranch (they have a website, and I'm sure if you do a net search you will come up with lots of other similar guest ranches).

Tucson is absolutely beautiful in the spring. I love living here, and if you have any other questions feel free to email me directly.

Enjoy!

While it doesn't quite qualify as a "B&B", you might want to check out Hacienda del Sol - a beautiful, small inn - with a pool, a view and in the middle of town, yet in the middle of the desert. Their web site is: www.haciendadelsol.com.

I'm not sure of your price range, but this is truly a beautiful place.

Another small, quaint inn is Lodge on the Desert, which is situated in town and a little pricey, but definitely charming and the rooms and beautiful! (typical southwest adobe) Its another option somewhere between a B&B and a large hotel.
