Ave Q Theater Help

We have to choose our tickets to Ave Q and, not knowing the Golden Theater, I'm wondering if the 3rd row back is "too close" to see the whole stage well. Seats are on the center isle. Other options are 8 or 10 rows back. Please help ASAP!

I think I'd opt for 8-10 rows back, assuming that are not far over on the side.

HowardR, Thanks for your quick reply!
We have choice between 6 rows back, 9 seats off center, 10 row back 7 off center, or 8 rows back 8 off center. Any additional advice?

I'd take the seats 10 rows back. They are a little closer to the center. In addition, from the side, the sightlines would be a little better a little farther back.

PS: We had similar seats on the side for Avenue Q and had no problems seeing the entire stage.

Of those last three choices, I'd definitely take the second choice, two rows closer to the stage and only one seat further off center. If you're watching 42nd Street -- you really want to be center to appreciate the dance -- but it makes no difference if you're slightly off to the side for this show -- so long as you are still in the center section.

Unlike Howard, I'd probably even opt for those 3rd row seats (especially since they are in the center) for Avenue Q. Unlike big choreography musicals, you aren't going to miss the "total picture" by being close and you're going to be able to see the "muppets" even better. In fact I'd much prefer those seats to your other choices. (also the stage for Avenue Q is not as highly elevated as for some shows -- so close isn't so bad).

Hi! Strangely enough, I saw "Avenue Q" one year ago today! I sat on the second row, second seat off the aisle. I was very pleased with my seat. As mentioned by a previous poster, this theatre's stage is not too high. You don't have to worry about leaning your head back or anything. Third row would be ideal as I don't recall this theatre having much of a rise in the rows in orchestra.
