House swap is definitely the way to go, and there are a number of places where you can list your house and hope to find someone looking for a swap. I've always had good luck with Craigslist but people on Fodors seem to prefer the agencies where you pay a fee. There are a number of threads on this topic; just put in "house swap" in the search box. Good luck!
