We may be changing planes in Charlotte with only 1 hour between flights. It's a Usairways flight, so the gates could be in anyone of 4 concourses. Are there trams or shuttles running between concourses or do we need to walk? Do you have to go through security in between concourses? If we had to go from the tip of concourse B to the tip of concourse E could we make it if some of us aren't capable of sprinting the distance?

Thanks for any help. I need to make these reservations tomorrow if I can.

We've only been to the Charlotte airport once and had to take a commuter to flight to where we live. It was a very long walk to where the commuters take off but we didn't have to go through security in between the concourses.

If you have any doubts about making your flight, just ask in advance for a tram to pick you up from your flight.

I frequently change planes in CLT, often with one leg on a regional carrier and ususally with 40-60 minutes. It has always been adequate time. The terminal is relatively easy to negotiate and there are moving sidewalks but no tram except the carts. You may want to request a cart to be certain of making your connection.
