In the words of Bette Davis:
"What a dump".

No -

IMHO Atlantic City is good only for losing the rent money - and incrediby cheap all you can eat buffets. Not a place for 20 somethings unless you are really into gambling.

If you do a search above there's a lot of info on various places on the Jersey Shore - including where to go to party.

I hope you are close enough to AC to drive b/c flights are extremely limited. In fact I wonder why they even have an airport. And for the prices you might as well just fly to Vegas.

Unfortunately, I agree with everyone else.. I've been there a handful of times over the years-only once did I stay overnight(comped room). Most of the trips have been spontanious 10pm trips(2hr drive from home) and after a few hours of gambling we go home. You don't say if you're a group of guys/ladies/or both, but the it's quite scary at night, even just a block or two off of the boardwalk.

I know there are quite a few bars in Seaside Heights, where you can still catch IROC camaros and motorcycles cruising in a time warp up and down the strip, and the Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant gets some good bands...I'd say stay elsewhere on the Jersey shore and take afew hour trip to AC if you want to gamble a bit.

are you looking to go there for a quick weekend and are you going to drive? i would not fly to ac. that is absolutely not worth it. but, if you live close and want to get away the borgata is sweet! its more like a vegas casino and the clientele is more upscale. the spa is really really nice and clean too. i have been 3 times since it opened. also, the tropicana has a new area called the quarter which is modeled after havana and i have heard good things from friends that have been.
there are good bars and restaurants and the place gets crowded and has a dress code on the weekends after 6pm. again more upscale. but, ac for more than 2 nights is too long. the place is a dump but, there are a couple shiny stars. i am headed to the quarter with my girlfriends for a girls night away in a few weeks. will let you know how it is. if its younger i will tell you if its older 35+ i will tell you that too. by the way, none of us gamble we all like nice restaurants and good bars to hang out.
