Atlantic City

i grew up in nj and my entire fam lives 30 min from A.C. there is really NOTHING to do except gamble. the hotels are all getting a little worn and tired anyway. where are you travelling FROM? for those who want to go somewhere to gamble, foxwoods casino in CT and vegas are your best bets. if, as you mention, you do not want to gamble, consider philadelphia, D.C., colonial williamsburg. all are in the same region and are good for a long weekend (at least). kids under 18 are not even allowed in the casinos, and atlantic city is still really just a big ghetto, despite the casinos' presence.

We went to Atlantic City a few years ago and intended to stay a couple of days because we do like to gamble. We ended up just staying 1 day because it is like a ghetto and we feared for our lives there. It's pretty scary, be sure to watch your back.

Scary is the first word that comes to mind for Atlantic City. It is not a fun place. I don't know if you are from the area and driving but if that is the case I would go to Wildwood or Point Pleasant Beach for a good boardwalk and rides and teen things to do.
