Asheville NC Restaurants

Any we must try?
American, French, Brazilian. Greek or Chinese . 2 days / 3 nights in Asheville. Simply not into fish!
We normally choose casual & quiet & restful, (though if there's live music anything could go!)
$? Open from cheap to fairly expensive (whatever that means!?)
Cheers

Try Curate, a tapas spot on the main street downtown. Great small plates and a good wine list. Can get pretty busy. Also enjoyed the Early Girl Eatery.

I have to second Curate - the tableside sangria is great! Bouchon is another good choice, it has good french "country" food - it feels just like a bistro in France. Both places are not "cheap" but certainly not outrageous. We like Early Girl eatery for breakfast food - I would imagine the other meals are just as good. Posana Cafe is our latest try and we were very pleased with the food - the kale salad was phenomenal and the trout was just done perfectly. Lastly, I really like Table for a treat - we have only be here a few times but each meal was very good and wonderfully fresh. There are so many good restaurants here - you really can't go wrong. Have a wonderful visit!

Bouchon was great -- very busy on weeknight, make reservation. Not fancy, nice bistro atmosphere.

We ate at several restaurants when we visited there last year. The only one that left a lasting, very favorable, impression was Curate'. Katie and Felix, the co-owners/chefs, met while working at elBulli in Roses, Catalonia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ElBulli

There was also a great hot chocolate shop around the block (don't remember the name).

The chocolate place is the French Broad Chocolate Lounge, on Lexington St. They have a lot more than hot chocolate, such as wine and chocolate pairings.
