Tinos deli on 187th street a must for takeout, Casa de mozzarella on arthur avenue for the best fresh mozzarella products, borgattis on 187th street for ravioli, mikes deli on 187th street for sandwiches and Edigios or delillo's on 187th street for dessert. The best selection of italian wines in the tri state area is at Mount carmel wines on 187th as well(187th and aruthura venue intersect)

After spending part of the day shopping on Arthur Ave, Bronx I am inclined to believe the previous threads... Tourist trap! Maybe many years ago it was fine, but not now... Horrible meal and service at Giovannis I. Did find some wonderful bakeries and pasta shops. Mt. Carmel wines excellent.
