Arriving Boston by train - which station?
I'm considering a stay in the Copley area of Boston. Would it make more sense to arrive the Back Bay Station as opposed to South Station? I'll be alone, any areas of concern or things to aware of? I have never been to Boston. Thank you!

AnnMarie_C, you're heading to my town?! Yes, Back Bay Station makes sense if you're staying in the Copley area. That area is perfectly safe. Let me know if you're interested in getting together. I can show you around town too if you have time.

P.S, If you are buying Amtrak tickets, it really doesn't matter if your ticket says South Station vs Back Bay Station. The price is the same for both, and no one will care which station you get off (the 2 are just a few minutes' apart).
For example, if your ticket is for Back Bay Station but you stay on until South Station, you won't get fined for taking one more stop.
Or if your ticket is for South Station but you get off at Back Bay Station, no one will prevent you from getting off at Back Bay Station.
