Starrs, I've neveer heard of BellBuckle , but it looks really neat. I've been to see 'Jack' a couple of times. Cool tour.

I'm not seriously shopping, in that I'm not looking for anything in particular. I'm just looking around and want to poke into some stores I don't see at home. If something interesting pops out at me, I'll just have to buy it.

Ice, I'll get GooGoo's for sure..
And some Stewart's root beer.

Coldplay, the amusement park was great, and I was so sad when they closed it down. But the hotel is fabulous. I used to stay there when I was splurging.

Thanks for all the great ideas.
You got it right ladies. I don't really want to see a mall, unless it has unusual shops.
Green Hills sounds like it's worth some of my time, since I'll be going to Trader Joes' anyway.

Now to check out Bell Buckle more.

Green Hills is the most upscale mall in Nashville. Along Hillsboro Pike you'll find Trader Joe's and a new shopping area, Hill Center. There is a California Pizza Kitchen and a Whole Foods there with some boutique shops.

Smoot, when I get off the highway, I know I go south to get to Green Hills and Trader Joes.
Where is Hill center from there? And California Pizza Kitchen?

We do have a Whole Foods at home, so I don't have to go there. ahh at least one store we have at home!!

Okay. Found it!
If you want country cooking, here's the place to stop on the way back north (from Bell Buckle or wherever)

kodi, I assume you're getting off I-440 at the 21st Avenue/Hillsboro Pike exit? You'll follow the signs to Hillsboro Pike (it's the same street, but the 21st Ave. side goes to Vanderbilt). Just follow Hillsboro south and you'll be in Green Hills. The mall is probably a mile or so off the interstate, and Trader Joe's is just south of the mall. The Hill Center is further down; CPK is at the front, facing Hillsboro, along with Anthropologie and Provence (Nashville sandwich/soup/cafe chain). There are a few other stores in the Hill Center that I haven't seen elsewhere, along with a few chains - here's a directory: http://www.hillcenterevents.com/stores.html. The mall, Trader Joe's and the Hill Center will all be on your right coming from 440.

Bell Buckle is a fun town - I was there last year for the RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival! That's the only time I've been, though. It seemed like there were several antiques stores.

(aside to starrs - I just looked at that web site for Miller's Grocery, and now I'm hungry! The Jack Daniels tour has been on my to-do list for awhile, and now I'm thinking it's time to make a day of it. Have you been on a weekend? Just wondering if you've been there for the live music.)

Hi jent,
No, I've not been on a weekend. Just for lunch during the week. I love the little place. Report back if you do make a weekend stop.
