Are Tombstone & Bisbee Worth Seeing?

We will be staying at a golf resort in Tubac, AZ near Tucson. Is it worth it to drive to Tombstone and Bisbee, nearly 2-1/2 hrs. away? Is there a nice place to stay within an hour of Tombstone? I don't mean a basic motel, but something a litle more upscale. Any help will be appreciated.

yes. Tombstone doesn't take too long to see, but i would try to get there when they have the shootout at th OK corral. I think it is done in the afternoon. In Bisbee take the QUeen Mine Tour. Very interesting. Best to make reservations. The road between Tubac and Tombstone is oe of my favorites. The movie Oklahoma was filmed in the area. The Copper QUeen Hotel in Bisbee is supposed to be nice. Also might be something in SIerra Vista.

We enjoyed seeing both towns, but I believe more we liked the drive up Moutn Lemmon--wonderful views. At the top we stopped at a cute little place that makes cookies.

Gee, thanks so much for your replies. I really appreciate it. On the mine tour, do you actually go into a kind of "mine tunnel?" I'm afraid I'd get claustrophobia, but I'd love to see it. Also, the classic trailer park looks really interesting. Am checking to see if the trailers can be toured if not occupied.

Yes-Bisbee is especially charming! Stay at the historic Copper Queen Hotel.

I believe they welcome folks who just want to walk around to check things out.

I plan to eat at Dot's Diner when I go.
