ANYONE STAY AT WASHINGTON HILTON LATELY???

Ended up here through Hotwire and wasn't a choice I would have made....but stuck with it. Anyone there recently? I have heard good and bad stories. Please tell me it will be ok.

It will be fine. I stayed there in 2004. It's in a great location, short walk to Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan.

I stayed there a year ago while running a conference and it was fine. Room was nice and clean and comfortable. If you are going in late spring or summer, they have a terrific outdoor pool.

Just a caveat, when you get to DC make sure you specify that you're in the Washington Hilton not the Capital Hilton, which is downtown, even cabbies confuse these from time to time.

You are nearby Rock Creek Park if you are a runner or hiker. Il Tomat, Italian restaurant just S. of the hotel is very fine, reasonably priced Italian. Hotel is just fine.
