We received a very generous monetary gift from my parents for Christmas. They know we love to travel and dine at nice places and use this money for a lot of our travels throughout the year.
This coming Spring we are thinking of our annual trip to Napa. We would like to try the French Laundry. There is also the possibility of the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa which we really like and some nice dinners in that area.
We promised our daughter a trip to Scottsdale, AZ sometime this year and hope to also see Sedona for the first time.
My son's GF almost got him tickets to the Seattle Seahawks/Niners game in SF but had a change of plans.
We gave my parents a week at our condo in Huntington Lake to be used at their convenience. Happy New Year!! ***kim***

I have a few nieces & nephews who have small children. I purchased Amtrak tickets (on "Rail Sale") for one way for 3 of them, their spouses & two children on various dates. I'll meet them at the destination and drive them back home after a museum trip and lunch. For the kids, I'm hoping the train ride will be the highlight of the trip, probably the lunch will be for the parents. If anyone can't do the "railsale" trip, then I'll just pay full price if necessary for a different date.
