Anyone know the hotel...

I think it's in midtown, that has a shared bath situation. I have heard there is a nice hotel (close to stuff) that is safe and clean. I cannot remember the name of this place but is suppose to be very affordable. I am a male and will not be traveling with my wife on this trip. Don't want to spend a lot of money. Any info is very appreciated.

It would be interesting if you told us what city you're talking about - or will a shared bath situation in ANY US midtown do?

xyz - Your sarcasm is unnecessary.

Ken - From the use of the word "midtown", I am assuming you are talking about New York City. The hotel you are referring to is probably The Habitat Hotel - in the high 50's just east of Fifth Avenue. About $75.00 for a shared bath single.

It may also be the Warwick, which is in the high 40's just south of the Habitat and priced about the same or a few dollars cheaper. Having recently tried a shared bath hotel for the first time I was pleasantly surprised and will continue to seek them out when traveling alone, although I still find it far more convenient to have a private bath when sharing a room with a companion.

Hmmm, the Warwick has shared baths? I've stayed there several times (great location and feels safe(!)), but my room has always had a bath in it. I suppose one has options...

Hello - we are not psychic. This is a United States forum not New York. Personally I thought you were talking
about Atlanta's Midtown. There has been quite a bit of info on it in the last several months. I know of several other big cities which also have "Midtowns".

The Warwick is located on 6th Avenue and 54th Street. It does not have shared baths, and the price is considerably more than $75.00 a night.

I was mistaken... it's the Pickwick Arms, not the Warwick. The Pickwick is near 52nd and 2nd.
