Anyone know a source for ski packages?

I want to do a cheapy ski package that would include lessons out west. I would be coming from NYC. Club med use to do something in CO., no more. Any ideas. I checked out Gorp but really could not find anything.

Thinking Whistler, Utah, Tahoe would consider Europe money is a factor though. Hoping package would include air, lift tickets, food, lodging possibly but not necessary lessons.

Sarah-Any ski clubs in your area? Ski clubs get great deals on packages out west plus you get to meet new people. Other than that, I suggest you try the airline vacation sites, united vacations, american airlines vacations etc. You might also want to check with expedia and travelocity's packages.

I belong to 3 ski clubs so far. At the end of the month I am in sugarbush vermont where all three clubs will have a weekend. Plan to make rounds at that cafe during the lunch hour .

The problem with their out west trips is that they are already full.

Thanks though! Will be layed off soon so I want to look at the options.

Sarah-Have you tried getting on their waiting lists? Our ski club always has someone cancel even up to the day before we leave. Sometimes we will go through 7 or 8 people on the wait list.

Sarah,
If money is an issue, go to the Canadian Rockies. 40-50 cents on the dollar is a pretty good discount.

America West and Delta have some pretty good packages including airfare. Someone else on this site was asking about a package at club med in Crested Butte, Co. so there is still something in Co. it appears.

First of all, check out www.skiaustria.com -- great packages and very inexpensive. Also look at www.purpleski.com -- chalet holidays in Meribel, France and they offer late season discounts. If you are not willing to go to Canada, it is always cheaper to go to Europe because lift tix are half, and the hotels include breakfast and dinner. Airfare to Europe right now is so cheap. I agree with the poster re: Whistler and also Banff-Lake Louise, but that is VERY cold. Whistler, I believe, would be further for you than Europe, or just as far. Otherwise check the lesser Colorado ski resorts like Breckenridge and Keystone, even Vail has last minute offers. Delta does some good packages. Club Med is open and operating in Crested Butte and I think still in Copper Mountain, but there it is adults only. I would go with Austria, though, it will be the least expensive, the most fun and you Europe plus a ski trip!

Some of the bigger resorts in Colorado (Vail, Aspen) are offering packages. Check out their websites... or try looking in your local papers or in Ski or Skiing magazine.

Thanks everyone this is very helpful!
Whistler sounds interesting and it makes sense that I should head to Canada. Just need to check out the trails and if I can master them just finding my ski legs on blue trails on the east coast.

Appreciated the info everyone!

Try www.skitops.com. Links to just about every ski package vendor that exists - you can then link to their individual websites and ask for quotes.

United Airlines has some great all inclusive ski packages available to Lake Tahoe. Price varies based on level of accomodations. Check out their web site for United Vacations.
