Anybody use price line on car rentals at LAX?

Did it work out well? What agency and car type did you get, how recent and what rate did you score? Thanks

I haven't, but people on BiddingForTravel.com report lots of successes and a few failures at LAX. (You have to scroll down pretty far to get to the Rental Car section, but there's an entire topic about Los Angeles rentals.)

Successful bids since 5/1 include a compact at $18 (unspecified agency), a midsize/intermediate at $18 (Budget), two premiums at $26 (both Avis), and SUVs at $27 (unspecified) and $35 (Alamo).

Unless something's changed recently, Priceline gets cars from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, and National--that's it.

Hope this helps...

Got a full size car for $25/day on Priceline through Avis for an upcoming trip to LAX. This bid was accepted, though, back in March.

Not at LAX but my sister got a rental car through price line for DFW and was very pleased.

She put in for a midsize car, got two days unlimited miles for $65.00.

coworker just rented a minivan through price line through memorial day weekend. The company they gave him was budget and it was $40 a day. Go to biddingfortravel.com for other stories.
